Not a diagnosis: Cytolysis simply means that the cells dried out before they were chemically fixed. When you get a traditional pap-smear, the cells are smeared on a glass slide and must be sprayed with a fixative within 30 seconds or they will dry out causing cytolysis. It is not a diagnosis of anything abnormal and won't cause your bleeding problem.

Varies: The bleeding is unlikely to be secondary to a cervical problem if the cervix looks normal on inspection and you have had normal paps in the past. Lo loestrin is an ultra low dose birth control pill which may not be sustaining the lining of your uterus.
