i had a blighted ovum, discovered at my first scan at 12 weeks. i decided to allow the miscarriage to happen naturally. i am now on day 10 of bleeding, is it ok to wait longer or do i need the meds or d&c? not sure how long it takes for an infection.

Get examined: A GYN MD can examine you and re perform an ultrasound to determine if the uterus is now empty or not. If not, a D &amp; C may be needed to avoid further bleeding or infection.

Monitoring: You will need ongoing evaluation of free testosterone and total testosterone-replacement therapy only brings your levels up to normal. There is no guarantee that stopping will result in ongoing normal levels.

It prevents destruct: Sperms remain healthy and are fertile
no loss or destruction of sperms.

how can a woman know when she is no longer fertile?

Trends: On average women stop being able to conceive about 10 years before their menopause. Estimates are that only 50% of women age 40 can conceive any longer. Blood testing can be done to estimate fertility potential, but it's not usually conclusive. Talk with an obg or your primary if you want to pursue this.

At age 27: With 2 children, you are still fertile. Aging is the major derminant, not the number of children that you have now.

Not a whole lot diff: The difference is really insignificant. This means your ovulation may be coming a day or two later than before.

if my cycles are a bit longer than other people, say i ovulate around day 20, but i have a normal 14 day luteal phase, making my average cycle 33 days will it cause problems for fertility? it has always been a bit on the long side?

: The range for period "regularity" is b/t 24-36 days, and the luteal phase is usually fixed at about 14 days.  If your pattern is as described, fertility will depend on other factors (tubal disease, male infertility in a partner, etc.) but not on the cycle length described. If pregnancy is attempted, an ovulation kit may assist in timing such attempts to optimize chances of pregnancy.

i have had paragard for almost 2 years. i always have spotting during fertile days but its lasted much longer this month. my dr isnt concerned but it freaks me out. is this common with paragard? pd supposed to start in 10 days. still light spotting?

: Paragard is a hormone free method so it would not be affected by or causing mid cycle spotting.

Not likely: The lifespan of the human egg will remain constant regardless of whether it is expelled from the ovary or retained.

Fertility PCOS: I am not aware of any such data nor can make a physiological reason why this should be the case.
