ive just had a mini tummy tuck with lipo of flanks. im 10 days post operation. when i sit my lower belly now makes a roll of fat over the incision and the incision tucks in. othis normal due to swelling? will it go down to make a flat belly?

Swelling : Swelling five days after a tummy tuck is normal; however, if the swelling is increasing and is associated with increasing pain you should call you plastic surgeon and have it checked out.

See your surgeon: You should be  o k  by this time , go back to your surgeon for follow up visit , and to make sure , don't have small area of infection.

Massage, steroids: Massage is clinically proven to help break down scar tissue, so massage the scar for 15 minutes every night.  In my practice, I also use monthly steroid injections into the scar to help to soften it.

i have had tummy tuck, fat transfer, lipo, and breast augmentation june 2nd 2017. i am experiencing extreme leg pain - soreness, abdominal discomfort and pain shooting down the leg.  i was only prescribed supradol which i no longer have for the pain.

Maybe: Scars will fade over time. It depends on how long ago your surgery was as to whether it will continue to fade.

Early : Early ambulation - I am for it and make the patient walk, usually within two hours.

But, i ask my patients to wait 2-3 days before going up and down the stairs.

4-6 weeks: I usually recommend to my patients to go at least 4-6 weeks after a tummy tuck before any vigourous exercise or strenuous activity.   Sex would put the same strain on the areas that were operated on.

Not usually: However if you have gained a significant amount of weight, you may be putting undue stress on your diastasis repair which could be associated with umbilical pain or you may have a hernia. I would discuss with your surgeon, you may need to perform diagnostic imaging.

Probably harmless: The laws against cannabis were written with an eye to politics rather than demonstrated health dangers, and unlike the other illegal drugs, efforts to show major harm from the stuff have met with very limited success.
