Consider seeing ENT: I haven't seen all your previous post, but if you have had a hoarse voice for more than two weeks(as it's not uncommon for laryngitis to last up to two week) then you should consider seeing an ear, nose, throat(ENT) doctor for a formal evaluation to better determine as to the cause of your symptoms. i take uloris 40 mg 1 x a day for 5 months.uric acid went from 9.9_to 4.i am having a flare.my doctor wants me to take prednisone which made me feel terrible before.will the flare,stop on it's own if i don't take the prednisone will it last longer?

: The gout flare is most often self limited without treatment. Treatment with NSAID, colchicine or prednisone will alleviate the inflammatory pain and probably shorten the course. You can choose no treatment if you are afraid of medication adverse effect and you can tolerate the pain. By the way, is colchicine or NSAID contraindicated in your case because you have kidney disease?

Unlikely: The dose of prednisone you mentioned should not alter your menstrual cycle.  Your doctor can prescribe you pills that can limit your period to once in three months to once a year.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.

Prednisone 1/2 life: Prednisone has a biological half life of 18-36 hours. It is excreted in the urine.

Unlikely!: Best bet is you did not sleep.  We use doses of methyprednisolone or Dexamethasone at doses equivalent to 1000mg of Prednisone by IV administration to treat severe flares in lupus, or to sometimes treat vasculitis. I doubt you took so much.

Taper the dose: Long-term prednisone suppresses the normal hormonal production by your adrenal gland.  The dose should be tapered (over 2-4 weeks) rather than being abruptly stopped.

No problem: Although i don't have all of your information like dose, disease, indication for steroids this is a temporary problem.
