Most of the time no: In general if someone has sepsis and recovers there is no long term effect of the sepsis per se.  The condition that placed someone at risk for sepsis may persist and need care. For example someone who has a chronic disease ( copd, kidney failure, cancer) may have gotten sepsis as a consequence of the disease and the underlying illness would still need care.

Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Mostly they are entirely normal in the intestine, and it is likely you have carried the one that caused your sepsis in your intestinal tract for many years, perhaps your entire life. You'll probably never know for sure, and it probably doesn't matter.

i had open hernia surgery on 3/5/13 and then on 3/26/13 i contracted a sepsis abscess infection.  and had a vac-pac until last week and now i am having pain underneath my left rib cage. ?
