: I wonder if you are taking medication for neutralizing gastric acidity. If you have not taken anything you can take either famotidine (Pepcid AC) or omeprazole (Prilosec OTC) and advance diet to bland soft diet. You can also advance the diet if already taking acid suppression medication but you should consider changing the medication. You should talk to your family or GI doc. Take care!

Alcohol: Alcohol affects stomach , liver and brain , and blood cells. Can cause cirrhosis. It depends on how often and how long it is used. Can affect pancreas. Bone marrow.

Genetics: We all have differences from each other due to genetics, including gender and nutrition. The rates at which various chemicals, including alcohol, are metabolized, vary among people and explains how long after the last drink etg may be detectable.
Alcohol is a poison and you should abstain.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

I don't understand: why this would happen, since most people experience the opposite - more histamine release when drinking associated with flushing or itching. However, it is far more important for you to get sober than to worry about itching. I would recommend using an antihistamine for your itching, like benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25 mg four times a day (caution with driving etc. because of potential sedation). Ask your doctor.

Ativan: I would recommend waiting 12 hours before mixing alcohol with ativan.. There is still some risk with driving even after 12 hours. Bottom line: don't drink alcohol when taking ativan and then drive.

Withdrawal?: Are you truly talking about withdrawal or are you talking about a hangover?    If it is simply a hangover, ibuprofen would probably be a good choice.   Alcohol withdrawal needs to be managed by a physician.
