Medication: The thyroid will not regulate itself. IF you have hypothyroidism then you need to be treated. Levels are usually checked after 4 weeks and then the dose is adjusted if not improved. It is best for thyroid levels to be normal before getting pregnant

Further evaluation: need to do more to find out what's going on.  Need to check the free thyroid hormones along with thyroid antibodies.  Repeat the TSH as well.  You can't only look at TSH and make a diagnosis.  For now, it's pointing to hypothyroidism but you don't know how severe or what's the cause yet.  See your doc.  complete workup. good luck.

i changed my vitamins to evening. i stopped my calcium carbonate for a week. i spaced out longer when i take other meds after thyroid meds. my estradiol is now 3,778 and it was 752 last week. tsh- 0.96, ft4- 1.9, ft3- 13. is this bad? im 8w pregnant?

: I wonder if you had another question before. It will be more helpful if we know the thyroid panel results before you changed the way of taking thyroid med and we also need the units used for FT3 and FT4. Estradiol level varies a lot during pregnancy so I do not worry much about the change.

how long does it take feel better after b12 shot still feeling weak headache sleepy is it possible in any case that injections now work no tsh normal?

Not a panacea: B12 shots can be great but in my experience, do not result in people feeling immediately better that often.  There are other things that cause these symptoms including Lyme disease, blood disorders, food sensitivities, sugar issues, adrenal issues, nutritional deficiencies like vitamin D, magnesium and more. Your doc can do a more thorough evaluation.

how long does it take for a new level of synthroid (thyroxine) to take effect so that i can get a repeat blood test for my tsh which was 0.01?

At least a month: If your TSH was 0.01 you were definitely taking too much thyroid hormone so I assume your doctor reduced your dose.  I usually wait 1-2 months before repeating the free T4 and TSH on the new dose by which time the tests should have stabilized

Treat first: You should not try to conceive with a TSH of over 100. Treat it first before trying. On the correct treatment, your TSH could be normal again in 3 months.

i have primary hyperthyroidism. my t4 level is 23 but my tsh levels are 0.01. how long does it take for levels to rise. currently taking 100mg ptu (propylthiouracil) dai?

Hyperthyroid: The PTH will lower your T4 and you will start to feel better.  TSH is the pituitary hormone that controls the thyroid.  If your T4 has been elevated for a while, your pituitary TSH will take a while to recover and may not start to elevate right away. But do not obsess about this.  Your FT4 of 23 is in the upper range of normal, I believe. This is perhaps why your doc gave you a low dose of PTU (propylthiouracil).

TSH testing: TSH is usually tested 4-8 weeks after starting or changing the dose.  Generally, clinical symptoms should improve in about the same timeframe as the retesting is done if not a little earlier.  Of course, this assumes that the symptoms are due to the thyroid and not some other cause.

Depends: A single TSH level may indicate hypothyroidism but  how it figures into other tests must be interpreted by your physician or endocrinologist.

Yes: Will probably need brand name T4 replacement lifelong. Check with your doctor.
