Nicotine: Nicotine metabolizes quickly in the body. Usually within 8 hours, also it depends on the amount someone smokes. The effects of smoking like if someone had copd- reversal of lung function may take 3- 6 months( provided there is not already a structural damage).

...With tobacco?!!: Don't waste your time, money, or health--liver "detoxing" is snake oil!  if you indeed have a liver disease, see a specialist who can help design appropriate treatment for you.  Please read the many other healthtap answers that dissuade use of "detox" or "cleanse" products. Finally, do you really think ingesting tobacco in any form could be good for you?!

No: Look for a different cause. It would be shame to miss hemochromatosis, Wilson's, viral or immune hepatitis, or one of the other bad ones because somebody blamed it on chewing tobacco.

Vaping is unknown: The issue with vaporizing (tobacco or marijuana) is the unknown of the ingredients.  These are not regulated solutions and have a lot of variability in what they contain.  Unless you know exactly what was put into the solution you are inhaling substances that may effect your health.  Big issue here in washington state as we just legalized marijuana but still a lot of unknowns.

Other possibilities: Because your pain is in the area of the liver, it still may have another source.  The right kidney is behind, the large intestine is in front.  The pancreas and duodenum/stomach are under and next to.  You have ribs above and around, and muscles on all sides.  With the normal liver tests, you should work with your doctor to find the source - don't forget the ribs and muscles (working out pain?).

About a day: Nicotine lasts for something north of two hours, but there are breakdown products that can still be measured in blood and urine for about a day. However, this is for a single exposure to nicotine. If you are chewing or using ecigarettes in high amounts, it can take as long as four days to fully clear from blood and urine.

It : It depends on whether the nicotine test is a urine test, blood test or hair follicle test and how much you smoke.  For most people, a urine test takes 2-4 days to be clear, a blood test takes 7-10 days and a hair follicle test takes much longer, but is not usually used due to expense.  If you are a heavy smoker, it may take longer for the nicotine to clear from your system (up to a week for the urine test and a couple weeks for the blood test).  Smoking menthol cigarettes may also cause the test to remain positive longer than regular cigarettes or chewing tobacco.  Of course, the sooner you quit, the better it is for your health. Drug metabolism: The same drug levels obtained via smokeless or smoking would be metabolized by the body at a similar rate. Differences in absorption and thus dosage may influence how long drug levels persist. Also, the mixture of drug and other metabolites may influence how long they persist. Tobacco companies have not released the dose-response data to compare these readily.

May be not: Weed is not likely to delay bone healing but over time it will progressively mess up your head. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

2-3 days: Nicotine is a short-acting drug, and is usually metabolized into cotinine which lasts for up to 72 hours.  If you give it one week, your test should be negative.  Swab tests of oral fluids may remain positive for up to a week.  However, far more important than passing a cotinine drug test is STAYING STOPPED. All forms of tobacco shorten human life and cause untold misery in millions of people.
