Variable: It depends on where you are starting, that is how profoundly anemic you are to start.  If it is not too bad, I'd expect 2-3 months.  That would also mean that you have corrected the cause of the anemia to begin with, (for example really heavy menses).  Another factor would be the dose of the iron, (strength as well as how many iron pills a day that you take.)

: Your cell counts do not rule in or rule out diabetes, talk to your doc if you are worried about diabetes. A fasting blood glucose and/or hemoglobin A1c is usually checked in order to diagnose diabetes.

: Instead of wiping, try to gently dab or pat the drop away. The presence of red blood cells indicates some irritation as does the stinging. Do not rub or wipe, especially at the tip. You might also consider carrying some facial tissue (which is much softer and gentler) with you as this will be much less irritating.
