3 hours to 1 week: Depending on your sensitivity and the type and dosage of eyedrop, dilating eyedrops can take between 3 hrs and 1 week (maybe longer!) to wear off. You should let the doctor who dilated you know if it lasts more than 24 hrs, but it is not a medical emergency. It can be quite inconvenient, though.

Several hours: Usually 4 to 6 hours for standard dilating eye drops, but sometimes a eye Doc will use dilating agents that can last for 8-12 hours. This latter agent also will affect focus to a greater degree and make your vision with contacts noticeably blurry. Fortunately the eye drops will reverse and you should be back to normal by tomorrow. If not just call your doc and he/she can advise you. Good luck.

2-4 hours: The most commonly used drops take 2-4 hours to completely resolve.  There are reversal drops that can take some of the effect away.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Best to remove the contacts and wait for a few minutes after instilling the drops before putting the contacts back in.  Otherwise, the contacts can soak up the medication.

Yes: And the same goes for any psychiatric meds sedation effect. Mirtazrepine gives you a desired weight gain and good sleep effect.  Another plus is minimal sexual side effects with this one same as wellbuterin..

: You better switch to eyeglasses when using medicated eye drops. Take care.

Several : Several weeks, do not use their brushes.
Clean your finger put a drop at a time on the tip then rub the eyelashes and eyebrows every night.

i took atropine eye drops to ease with corneal abrasion a week ago..any meds i can take to make its dilating effects go away faster?

Unfortunately no: Atropine can take a week to washout. There is really not much that will help but waiting.

i take 2000 mg to relieve pain in tooth ibuprofen then when it wears off like three times a day will i be ok my dentist appointment is soon and it's going to be like a month longer?

: Take the medication as directed on the bottle. More your appointment up if possible.
