Fairly common: Only cases that do not respond to nonsurgical treatment, are candidates for surgical ligament reconstruction.

Surgery: Most tendon ruptures require surgical repair because of the deformity that occurs within the tendon structure just prior its failure ie. Rupture. It's called plastic deformation and the tendon changes are not reversible.  Ultimate tensile failure is the term for tendon rupture when the forces exceed the strength of the tendon fibers.

i have a fractured elbow into 3 pieces and a torn ligament, how can it be fixed? with plates and screws or with an artificial joint replacement? which is better?

20y ulnar, median nerves torn & surgically fixed, can't fully stretch elbow yet but i go to gym and can't strengthen my triceps muscle it it's very hard to work without weight!any advice please thanks?

You only need to ask: The solution is follow the post operative instructions that should have been prescribed by your surgeon. You may need to push him for assistance for the proper rehabilitation protocol. If this is not possible, then inquire at your gym for an exercise coordinator for his input and assistance.

Possibly: The fracture will likely heal if properly tended.Nerve compressions heel better than cut nerves.If nerve sheaths haven't been severed, the nerves have a chance of regrowing properly following the tract that remains.If the nerves were severed &amp; the tracts disrupted, the nerves may not regrow properly.Regardless, as long as a neuroma doesn't form,a brain can sometimes rewire to allow proper function

Ligament tear elbow: Generally speaking depends on the location and severity of the tear and if there is joint instability.
Partial tears (most likely as in your case) are generally treated by protection in a brace and muscle strengthening for a period of 3  - 6 weeks followed by graduated return to sport (if it's a sports injury)
complete tears with instability are treated surgically

Tennis elbow: You may not be much of a tennis player but there may be small tear or inflammation of the wrist extensor muscles where they attach to the bone. Google treatments for this condition and see a doctor.

Ulnar collateral: The ligament that is placed through the most strain is the ulnar collateral ligament. This ligament keeps the elbow from opening along the inside of the arm. It is stressed and pulled upon with every throw. A strain or partial tear in the ulnar collateral ligament can sometimes heal on its own. For high level throwers that require a return to throwing, we may offer a "tommy john" reconstruction.

They are deferent: Tendonitis treat it with rest anti inflammatory medication and possibly steroid injection, in rear cases we do surgery for it.
Ligaments injuries called sprain we grade them from 1 -2-3.
For treatment some time we used braces or splints, cast or surgical repair.

how could i cure a sprained ligament in my arm(elbow)?

Rest, NSAID, therapy: Depending of the severity of your injury, it may take some time to heal. Should give it some rest. Gentle range of motion exercise, and use of antiinfkammatory med such as motrin/aleve may help. You may need physical therapy if severe. If above measures not helpful, consult doc for eval. Good luck.
