A member asked:

I have a torn tendon on the bottom of my elbow plus cartilage and ligament damage which is very painful. how is it ever going to get better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgery: Most tendon ruptures require surgical repair because of the deformity that occurs within the tendon structure just prior its failure ie. Rupture. It's called plastic deformation and the tendon changes are not reversible. Ultimate tensile failure is the term for tendon rupture when the forces exceed the strength of the tendon fibers.
