6 months: Toenails take nearly 9 months to grow from back to front, so if the injury happened 3 months ago, you still have a half year until the bruise underneath completely resolves, assuming it started at the very back of the nail.

RICE: Rest, ice, compression and elevation. If injury occurred then get an x-ray to make sure there is no displace fracture and tape it to  2nd toe until you get it checked.

LOTS TO GUESS: I have to guess a lot, b/c the info is sparse. Bone bruise and ligament damage=at least moderate degree of trauma. Ligaments affected-inside ankle bone ligaments?-deltoids. Tingling-maybe the tibial nerve was temporarily damaged.

what do i do to help heal my injury? i believe it's a pulled tendon in my foot that's between my big toe and my ankle. i can't move my big toe up without pain, its slightly bruised and hurts to move. i'm an athlete, want to make sure its not serious.

Serious exam.: It is difficult to determine the extent of your injury without an examination. The injury to a tendon can cover a wide range of damage. It all starts with a hands on exam and could include imaging and even surgery.

i dropped a chair on my big toe 5 days ago. swelling and bruising is almost gone.the nail is not loose.i still have very little drops of blood now and then from the cuticle.i have a white soft layer between the cuticle & nail. what is it,will it heal?

You nailed it.: The hangnail incident has escalated the problem. You are probably developing cellulitis with a possible ingrown toenail. Time to sop the baloney and have it examined by a specialist. I am assuming that the non-healing concern is due to the nail and not to some complicating issues such as diabetes or vascular disease.

Out of what? : Most people can still walk with a bruised toe. The severity of the bruise and symptoms you are feeling will determine what you can and can't do. Make sure to ice in the first 24-48 hours to reduce any swelling.
