Different: If someone is allergic to dogs and to cats, that does not mean they will be allergic to rabbits too.  All animal allergies are different.  Labcorp is a very widely available lab.  They have a rabbit allergy tests.  The test number is 061382.

Sensitized: The presence of a positive RAST to dog means that you have become sensitized to dog but not necessarily having symptoms. The RAST was done likely because of suspicion of an allergic problem. Nearly 50% of the people failed to realize that they have significant nasal obstruction since it has been the norm.  If you can't part with  the dog, keep it away from bedroom. Allergy shots may be required.

What do you feel: Your reaction on the skin test can only show a sensitivity and your real life reaction is the one that matters. How do you feel around them if you visit someone with a dog. Make it 10x worse if you live with one. Allergy shots get you immunized to dog dander and increase your tolerance and minimize your symptoms. No breed is hypoallergenic.

Septal Deviation: Has your allergist considered at cat scan of your sinuses? It could be an anatomic problem that needs fixing by an ENT surgeon. You could try "breath right" strips and salt water washes. Even prescription nose sprays might help. I do not endorse any particular product, but these are just some suggestions.

: From my rotation in an allergy clinic I can tell you animals in the house are problematic for asthmatics. One of our most prominent allergists would not accept private asthmatic patients who had pets in the house. In the clinic we weren't that rash but tried to dissuade our asthmatics &amp; problematic allergy patients not to have pets in the house.

if im allergic to cat dander and i put the cat outside and dont let it in my apartment am i all good to go or is there still dander and allergens in the apartment? if so, how long would you recommend waiting before moving in?

: Cat dander can live in the carpeting, curtains and and even the porous wall paint in any place where there has been a cat. A thorough cleaning of the walls, washing the curtains, and steam cleaning the carpets and floors may help to greatly reduce the dander. There are also specific cleaners meant to bind to cat dander which can help.
