i got a concussion on christmas eve last year. today (feb 9) i'm really dizzy. could the dizziness be from the concussion?

Concussion?: Would not be high on my list of possible causes if you have had no symptoms since your initial injury until today, and have not had a re-injury.  This does not sound like "post concussion syndrome",but it certainly sounds like if the symptoms persist you should at the very least communicate with your PCP. If they worsen, I would consider in the emergency department

is it normal to still be nauseous and dizzy the day after a concussion? if so, how long will these symptoms last?

Possible: Concussion can affect your physical state, thinking ability, emotional state, and can affect your sleeping pattern. Some common findings are headaches, nausea, sensitivity to light and noise, fatigue, visual problems,  problems concentrating, emotional irritability, drowsiness, sleeping problems, which may last weeks or months. See a physician who can evaluate you for post-head injury symptoms.

Post concussive : After a concussion it is not unusual to have some persistent headache, dizziness, vertigo or general malaise.  So long as the symptoms are getting better slowly, I wouldn't worry too much.  If increased activity worsens the symptoms, slow down and see if doing a little less helps improve your symptoms.  If you are getting worse, go see your doctor!!

Concussion: This is frequent with head concussions.  You should report this to your doctor and ask for further instructions.  In general you should be resting and avoid physical exercise.  It may take a few weeks to heal the brain.  Stay in close contact with your doctor and have someone check in with you frequently over the next 24hours to be sure you are not worse.

You : You may have a concussion. Symptoms of concussion can include headache and dizziness which you are already experiencing.   You do not have to lose consciousness to develop a concussion. Other possible symptoms include ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, feeling tired, visual changes,  slurred speech or difficutly remembering what happened. It would be prudent to be medically evaluated. Take  care.

I think you should: be seen by a neurologist to be on the safe side (and to discuss the matter of cracking your neck ) (feel dizzy ?)   Again?

hit my head about 3 weeks ago and havent had symptoms in a week and last night my head started hurting again and i get dizzy when falling asleep and briefly when i stand up after laying down for a while. could this be something other than concussion?

: You did not state how severe the concussion was 3 weeks ago. If it's severe, grade 3 or 4 ( you loss of consciousness), you may need to see your doctor or urgent care because of recurrent symptoms.

Concussion.: A blow to the head which results in changes in mental state, balance, and headache is diagnosed as a concussion. It does not require visible injury to the head or loss of consciousness. If the injury occurred at school, it's best to have the team doctor evaluate and document the injury. Otherwise, let your primary doctor know of your injury so that it can be documented and followed.

Yes, it is possible: To have delayed symptoms with a concussion.

Vertigo: Dizziness is simply the subjective feeling of unsteadiness or sometimes spinning (vertigo), either you're spinning or the room is spinning around you. This is not necessarily noticeable to others unless it is causing you to stumble around.
