i had a cold last week but for the past few days, i've had headaches , nausea, sore throat, fever off and on.  i have little to no appetite. i don't know if it's the flu. ?

Quite possible : There can be lot of reasons ,It can be simple upper respiratory tract infection or viral infection ,Please see your pcp for further evaluation.

: If one is nauseous, then zofran can help. If there is no nausea or vomiting, then there is no reason to take zofran. But overall, it does not worsen the underlying illness or cause it to last longer.

Possibly: Symptoms of influenza are fever, cough and severe body aches.  I would see your doctor to be checked.

It may be: But something may be going on at the same time.  Never make assumptions when facts can become available.  See your doctor and get this worked out.  Infections of any kind can suppress appetite, because chemical mediators released from inflammatory cells suppress appetite.  They do not usually, however, produce nausea.  Get checked.

Possibly: According to Mayo Clinic Flu sxs may include “Fever over 100F (38C), Aching muscles, especially in your back, arms and legs, Chills &amp; sweats, Headache, Dry Cough, Fatigue and weakness, Nasal Congestion.”

Flu: The flu can really knock you people out.  And it sometimes takes 2-3 weeks for people to fully feel like they have their energy back.  The fevers and muscle aches should have stopped, however.  It is not normal to have depression and racing thoughts after the flu - so make sure you check in with your doctor and let them know what is going on! best of luck to you.

: The illness triggers release of chemical factors that can suppress appetite. If you concentrate on offering simple carbohydrates like breads/rice/potatoes/applesauce this can sometime trigger more feeding activity.

Not Influenza: Sounds like viral gastroenteritis or food poisoning.  Either should get better in 48 hours or less.  If your symptoms persist see your doctor to be sure it's not anything more serious.
