Yes: Recurrent "bladder infections" cause for concern.  Need a culture to prove actual infection. On more than one occasion, i noted doctors treat recurrent "bladder infections" based on symptoms of frequency & urgency absent urine tests or cultures.  These symptoms can accompany fibromyalgia & interstitial cystitis & absent provable bacterial bladder infection. Urologists can find tract obstructions.

See below : Important to distinguish whether source of bleeding is from the vagina or from the urinary tract. Not uncommon to have some mild bleeding or spotting from the vagina or cervix after sex in a menstruating female and generally benign and self-limiting. Blood in the urine in young female most commonly related to a UTI and usually associated with UTI symptoms: urgency, frequency, and burning.

i am getting constant vaginal infections and bladder infections for the last 6 months. my periods are normal but the infections continue? should i be worried?

Resolution needed: Your combination of vaginal and bladder infections need to be resolved as to causation, thorough investigation with history/physical and testing. A Urologist may be helpful for the chronic UTI's as a referred MD. Chronic UTI's can lead to serious renal infection. The Urologist will look for urinary system obstructive causes.

i have recurring bladder infections so the urologist put me on microdantin for 4 months. took the first tablet last night and i'm terribly out of  breath and nauseous today. canthe body get used to it?

Concerning: Shortness of breath in association with any new medication is problematic & supports phone call to your doctor or whoever doctor is covering practice; before next pill is taken.  Recurrent urine infection requires a urine culture & sensitivity test to confirm "infection". Some doctors incorrectly prescribe antibiotics simply based on symptoms, which can also be common with non-infectious problems.

Cystitis tips: Some women are more prone to cystitis, for various reasons.  Women have a short urethra compared to males, so bacteria from perineal area can easily be pushed into the urethra during intercourse, setting up for a bladder infection. A few tips to try: increase water intake, limit sugar intake, and be sure to urinate within 15 minutes or so after intercourse.  If still have problems, see doctor.

i was diagnosed with a bladder infection last week.was put on cefdinir 300mg for 7 days.i have 3 days left of the antibiotic.i am still having piercing pain like a twisting of my ovary and the pain starts at my left hip ,goes down into my bladder.sos?

More than uti: This sounds like more than just an uncomplicated bladder infection.  You may have something going on in your ovary. My advice is to see your PMD or gynecologist, or at least maybe an urgent care, and inquire about a pelvic ultrasound to look at those structures

OK to add Azo: to relax your bladder. force fluids and avoid tight undergarments, sexual manipulation and understand that these infection take 7-10 days to resolve.
