Possible back prob.: Pain radiating to your buttock can be due to a bulging disc impinging on a nerve. That is what the x-ray was looking for.Hopefully it was normal and your doctor finds a way to help with the pain. If not you might want to seek the help of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. This is one of the things for which accupuncture is very helpful. Hope this helps..

Kidney donor meds: Kidney donors do not have to take medication after they donate one of their kidneys (k). After the donation of one of their k, they may need to medication, but not due to their donation.

No: Kidney donors are chosen after an extensive array of tests- they must be healthy, low risk for developing chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes etc.So kidney donors are not given any medications because they donated kidney. They will probably need some pain meds after the donation surgery.The need for medications will arise if they develop any medical illness in future.

Kidney pain...: Differential diagnostic considerations would include kidney stones and urinary tract obstruction. Any groin pain?  Ultrasound may be helpful.

Muscle fatigue: If pain is from kidney, it will hurt regardless of time of day. You maybe experiencing some muscle strain/fatigue of the paraspinal muscles (muscles next to spine), thus feeling aching/sore when overworked/used. Since resting resolves the pain, physical conditioning/back exercises will likely help that after several weeks. If persistent, consult doc. Good luck.

if one has kidney problem will the swelling in ankles be there even when laying in bed.also if its kidney will swelling reduce by rest & by elevating.

Not one answer: Swelling or edema can occur in patients at varying degrees of kidney disease- and the  extent is also variable. Typically if you elevate your legs the swelling will go down but it may not always dissipate. Medications such as norvasc (amlodipine) can cause swelling as well as a blood clot, lie ER disease etc.  Make sure you discuss this with your doctor to treat the underlying cause effectively.

Yes: Since the donated kidney is a "foreign" tissue, your body will reject the organ unless you suppress your immunity to some degree. These medications called immunosuppressants are generally required for  lifetime but amount may decrease over the years.Your doctor monitors and determines the type and dose.

Myth: There is no adverse effect to the kidneys by drinking water at night other than perhaps having to get out of bed to urinate more often. The kidneys do not need to 'take a rest' like other parts of our body.

if you have level 3 to 4 chrondomalacia, will you need to take daily nsaids the rest of your life? will this cause kidney/liver probs?

It can: All nsaids reduce kidney function.If you stay within the recommended daily dose and have normal  kidney function and get tested at your dr's recommended intervals you should be O.K.
