Both: This is extremely variable. Return to fertility can take over a year or conception can occur as soon as the next month. Overall there is a delay but it varies widely from person to person.

Yes: You don't begin an infertility work-up until you have one year of unprotected intercourse without conceiving.

No effect: Orgasms have no effect on getting pregnant. If you ovulate and make eggs and sperm gets to it, fertilization will likely occur with or without orgasm. If pregnancy is not desired, use protection. Good health.

Yes: Steroids (illegal kind) will reduce sperm count. Medical steroids (for many illnesses) can also affect reproductive potential but to a lesser extent.

Shouldn't be: A pregnancy termination normally doesn't change one's ability to conceive unless an infection occurred and damage to the uterine lining happened. Ovulation shouldn't change either.

It shouldn't.: 80-90% of couples having regular intercourse (2 or more times per week) will become pregnant in one year. If after a year you have not become pregnant, you might consider seeing a fertility specialist to determine the cause. Past birth control use does not affect future fertility. Good luck!

Depends where: Doing the test itself is fast but unless your doctor is processing blood work in the office it probably is being referred out to an outside lab company. Doing a urine test is much faster and can detect pregnancy with a  BHCG of &gt; 20. This means it only misses pregnancy in the first few days after conception

i lost a testicle because of torsion. does the remaining ball produce more to make up for the loss testicle? and what are the chances i can get someone pregnant? also, does it take longer to get someone pregnant because i have one instead of two?

: We were designed with redundancy wherever possible, as though we would be prone to injury or loss. One functional testicle produces adequate sperm to maintain fertility. It is not any more difficult to get a woman pregnant than with two testicles.

Other tube: Having one ectopic does increase your risk of another ectopic. Your baseline fertility is not affected. The functional status of the remaining tube can be assessed by your doctor if you are having trouble getting pregnant.

can being on a birth control pill 10 years slow down getting pregnant when you stop taking them? will it take me longer to get pregnant? i am 28 years

It should not: Most women return to fertility within a few months after stopping birth control pills. Once your cycles are regular off the pills then you should be able to get pregnant during one of your ovulation periods. Make sure you are taking a prenatal vitamin now to prevent neural tube defects in your baby.
