It shouldn't.: 80-90% of couples having regular intercourse (2 or more times per week) will become pregnant in one year. If after a year you have not become pregnant, you might consider seeing a fertility specialist to determine the cause. Past birth control use does not affect future fertility. Good luck!

Depends: It depends on how fast your hormones recover from the dampening effect of the pills and the timing of your activities. I've known of some who got pregnant within 2 weeks of stopping her pills and others that took months. This is the reason we usually suggest other forms of contraception for 3 months after stopping before trying to conceive to ensure all of the bcp effects are out of your system.

Pregnancy: It depends on the birth control method used. For pills, patch, nuvaring, or iud, your cycles should resume within a month. For depoprovera or implanon, it may take 6-12 months for your cycles to become normal. Once your cycles are normal, most couples will conceive within 6-9 months. You can conceive on the first month!
