Maybe: 15mg of oxycodone is a lot for someone who is not opioid tolerant.  To follow this up with ambien can be very dangerous if u are not opioid tolerant.

Sleep hygiene : Ambien (zolpidem)  is not recommended for long term use, you develop tolerance After a period of time. The best advise I can give is to develop what is called a sleep hygiene , I mean by that is going to bed every night @ the same time and waking up every morning @ the same time, avoid any stimulus including TV, computers, smart phones. I also recommend avoiding sleeping aids, like in your case Ambien (zolpidem).

Go see ur family doc: Temazepam 60mg is way too much (30mg is max - see http://www.drugs.com/dosage/temazepam.html). Ambien (zolpidem) dose for women cut in half earlier this year b/c stays in system too long. Study published earlier this wk (http://www.bmj.com/content/349/bmj.g5205) linked benzodiazepine use to Alzheimer's disease. Do some research on sleep hygiene. Find other options for sleep. Meditation? Exercise?

can i take seroquel indefinitely for chronic primary insomnia? 12.5 mg has stopped working after 18 days. should i increase it? ambien (zolpidem) no longer works for me. neither does trazodone.

Chronic Insomnia: I understand your need to have good sleep.
Ambien loses effectiveness after about a month.
Trazadone is not specific medication for insomnia.
Seroquel can have serious side effects. 
Insomnia is a symptom of  stress in your life for which Therapy, Breathing and Music Relaxation, Yoga, Meditation are beneficial.

Makes it worse: Opiates are BAD and temporary solutions to any kind of intestinal disorder.  They may temporarily mask the pain, but by also slowing down the activity of the bowel they ultimately make the symptoms worse.  Anticholinergic drugs like bentyl (dicyclomine) may or may not work. See your PCP or a gastroenterologist to make sure you have the right diagnosis and the right treatment. There are many available options.

Sleep.: You can try to take Unisom for now, but only in a dose recommended on the box.

Ambien/Vicodin: Ambien (zolpidem) is usually taken right before bedtime. If pain is keeping you up, take your prescribed dose of Vicodin.

Temazepam ; Desyrel (trazodone): Temazepam and trazodone (desyrel) remain excellent options if you need long=term medicinal insomnia treatment. You can also try cbti, psychotherapy to teach you how to fall asleep without medication. There are also plenty of sleep apps noted on this site and can be helpful and look up one of dr. Heidi fowler's excellent sleep hygiene responses on this site. Best wishes.

Yes: The half life of Ambien is 4-6 hours, so you should be fine, but it also depends on the amount of xanax (alprazolam) you are taking. Consult with your doctor first.
