we are not yet aware of the cause of autoimmune hepatitis. It's manifested by autoantibodies against the liver, manufactured by your own immune system. It can be a very aggressive disease, but often is very slow in its onset and its progression. Also, it is treatable, although some of the medicines can have side effects. It is vital that you are treated by a gastroenterologist . Good luck.

need to take excessive liquids, assuming normal kidney function, 90% will be eliminated in 48 hours and essentially all of it by 72 hours. Increasing your hydration may speed it up a little, but there is no medical need to do so.

Toxic shock syndrome (tss) is caused by bacteria, usually staph or strep, which release a chemical that affects the immune system.  Fever, rash, low blood pressure and confusion are common symptoms.  This very serious illness can progress to multiple organ failure, including the kidneys and liver. Tss is treated with antibiotics and support. If you suspect tss see your doctor immediately.

Benzo's like valium will test positive for six to eight weeks or even longer if one has been on them for some time. But, even one pill can last for a very long time.

The half life of xanax (alprazolam) is 6 to 12 hours but can stay as long as 6 to 20 hours depending on how long you've taken it. The reason it may take longer maybe due to your liver problem.
