A mix up: You threw a lot of things in the same pot, so I am not sure i quite understand all what you said. First, Levofloxacin is not used as a first or second line medication in the us for the treatment of tb. Lacunar infarcts are not normally treated with furosemide. Furosemide may potentially be used for hydrocephalus but that's not the treatment for that. It may be used symptomatically at times.

Unlikely: If she's feeling better after a little ibuprofen and amoxicillin than it's most certain not meningitis.

Local reaction: Sometime you can have a local reaction to a shot.No harm done. Reduce the swelling with cold compresses for20 minutes 3-4 a day.

: I've never seen it, but chronic untreated sinusitis can cause meningitis. You should be in good hands as you're being treated and followed by an ENT specialist. However I recommend having a complete medical examination including appropriate lab work because of your recurrent fungal infections and chronic sinusitis.

: If you were born in the US and followed routing preventive care guidelines you would have received several doses of the oral polio vaccine used during those years. The vulnerable period for meningitis is considered the teen and college years. While it would not hurt to get one, your age group is not considered at risk. For now, you should be okay. When older, consider the Prevnar and Shingrix

It is rarely recommended in older adults unless there is a B outbreak &amp; then limited to those with an immune defect that places them at higher risk. If so the use would be directed by the doc managing the case.

Strep B meningitis: Streptococcus b is the strand or cause of this type of meningitis.  If an infection is proven by spinal fluid analysis, antibiotic treatment as soon as possible is indicated to lower the risk of complications.
