any probotics i can take to help c. diff. if so. should i take before vancomycin or after i taken it. any good foods that help get good bacteria back?

Probiotic: You can take probiotic while you are taking vancomycin. There is a host of different probiotic brands. Of course, each claims superiority over other brands, but they are all pretty much on par. I like flora brand just because I am more familiar with it but it doesn't mean that it is better than others.

small hiatal hernia and gastritis. should i take protonix 20mg qd while also taking pepcid? or ust one or the other? clindamycin for staph tore my tummy up, trying to get back regular after 3 weeks. also taking florestore to put back good bacteria?

Pepcid,protonix: Taking both simultaneously is redundant. For short term use(14 days) protonix is satisfactory, but for long-term use I recommend pepcid.

Probiotics: Probiotics are a good source of healthy  bacteria &amp; yeasts.

Chlamydia: The probability is that one or both of you is not fully revealing about their sexual activities. This is overwhelmingly a sexually transmitted disease.  You do not get this casually under most circumstances.

Yes: Any kind of Antibiotic will kill off not only bad bacteria, but good bacteria as well. This can cause a wide variety of problems. Make sure you only take antibiotics when prescribed for you by a Dr for a specific illness. Take the medication for the full number of days to prevent resistance. Take probiotics once done so you can rebuild your gut flora. Call Dr for abd pain/diarrhea after Antibiotic

OTC prep: We often recommend first the neil-med sinus wash or neti-pot system. But remember, you must always use distilled water, saline, or boiled water for the solutions, never tap water, as that can potentially cause bacteria in the sinuses to migrate to the brain and result in a sometimes fatal brain infection.

how long does it take to get your taste buds back after a scaling n planning? for 3 years i wasn't sure if i tasting tarter, calculus, pus , bacteria or a combination of them but it sure sucked!!?

: I assume your sense of smell is intact. Did you have extensive mouth inflammation or infection &amp; did you have to take a prolonged course if strong antibiotics or other potent medications which may have played a role in distorted taste.  Does your dentist have an opinion about this? You could be evaluated at the department of oral pathology at a dental school near you.

i was bitten by my cat about 17 days ago. didnt get a tetanus shot until about 1&1/2 wks. later the site looks fine. but im having burning. and discomfort in my spine. do you think it could be the tetanus bacteria.?

Unlikely, but...: If you had any prior tetanus vaccines, the odds of contracting tetanus is slim. But, if you are having spasms & stiffness in your jaw muscles, neck muscles, or abdominal muscles; or, if you're having difficulty swallowing--this would be worrisome. Painful body spasms, lasting for several minutes, triggered by minor occurrences, such as a draft, loud noise, physical touch or light, then beware.

No it does not: No as a matter of fact there are no good bacteria on your hands and washing hands will get rid of disease causing bacteria and viruses.

i have a upper back cyst that keeps coming back it was cultured and has 3 different bacteria.... i've had several surgeries to get rid of the cyst

Get it removed: Once infection is under control get it removed , most likely you have incision and drainage (i;d)  due to infection not complete removal. Speak to your surgeon , once completely removed will not come back. Check your blood sugar.
