Yes it can: Infertility can be very frustrating. Many times patients need a few rounds of Clomid (clomiphene) at increased doses to trigger ovulation and achieve success. Some doctors will add steroids to help it be more effective. Others will need to add intrauterine insemination or a bhcg injection to the clomid (clomiphene). Work with an experienced obgyn or reproductive endocrinologist to help guide you through the process.

Unknown: We can not make that determination from an Ovulation predictor kit. Typically a midluteal phase Progesterone blood test is ordered when one is prescribed Clomid to determine if ovulation occurs and to to determine if dose adjustments should be made

You need to see: A fertility specialist.  I typically refer my patients after 3 failed Clomid (clomiphene) cycles.

When Clomid (clomiphene) fails...: It could be due to not having been monitored. One reason for Clomid (clomiphene) failure is lack of serial ultrasounds/blood hormone tests while on clomid (clomiphene). Also, the uterine lining can get too thin, so ultrasound should monitor this. Some women make a mature follicle but don't release it and thus need an HCG shot. Have you been monitored like this by a board certified re? If not, consider it!
