can i wear new mascara on my upper eyelashes when my internal stye is under my lower eyelid?

Best to avoid it: With a stye, on top or bottom, it is best to avoid all eye make-up as blinking can transfer some meds to the lower lid easy enough and may worsen the area, etc. Get treated, then once resolved, you can start wearing make-up as instructed by you Dr. best wishes.

was getting recurrant styes ,washing my eyelids w/baby shampoo, not diluted. now my eyelids near eyelashes feel irritated and are a little red?

Ocular rosacea: Minocycline 50mg or doxicycline 20-50mg by mouth once a day. If it works you will continue for years.

i have a stye in/on my lower eyelid. can i continue to use mascara on my top eyelashes only? or will i contaminate the mascara and spread it to my other eye? also, why am i getting styes? i get them like once or twice a year?

: Eye doctor. If it needs to be removed, the eye doctor would be better equipped to do that.

No: Styles are not contagious. If the diagnosis is correct, you should have no pain. A stye is essentially a clogged oil gland. You can apply warm compresses in an attempt to loosen the blockage. If it does not resolve, see an eye doc for medical treatment.

Eye doctor: Most styes do not need surgery. Antibiotic ointment and warm compress.  However, if you have a stye that is no resolving your best choice is to see an optometrist or ophthamologist.

Styes: are infected eyelid glands.  They are painful and swollen.  Often they will resolve with the use of hot soaks four times per day for a week.  If this does not work, then the stye can be opened and drained.  This can be done in the ophthalmologist's office under local anesthesia.

will scar tissue ( little bump ) from a stye i had in october of 2013 go away on it's own? i don't want to get it surgically removed. thanks!

Sometimes: This is called a chalazion and is the incysted remains of the eyelids battle with a stye.  These are benign, can be small or large and will occasionally go away by themselves, especially if assisted by applied heat.  If it bothers you, it can be removed in an office procedure which does require a little surgery.  Some also might inject it with steroid which can also get rid of it.

i have this fleshy growth on the inside of my lower eyelid that came after i had a stye/chalazion &now needs removed per eye dr, chances its cancer?
