Private schools: Private schools are just that....private entities to which you must complete an application and be accepted to.  Administrators at the school review the applications and make the decision if the school and child are a good fit.

Consider seeing the: school nurse. Dysmenorrhea Tx:  NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise &amp; acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol &amp; salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile can dissipate pain.

can people with inflammatory bowel disease (crohn's, ibs, etc) use angiotensin receptor blockers for hypertension?

: Yes, there are no contraindications and these drugs are still absorbed and effective.

i have gerd and severe ibs (with diarrhea and nausea). i've taken iberogast (stw-5) before and it worked amazingly. but i'm concerned about licorice root in it. i have hypertension. is it safe for me to being using this?

It is unlikely to: contain a sufficient amount of licorice to have any affect on your blood pressure but it would be easy to monitor this. Buy a blood pressure cuff and record your blood pressures. If you find they are being elevated by the Iberogast then discuss treatment with your health care provider.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Sunday school is the time when a child learns about  religion or god and it is very important that he be reinstated in school. I have to find out the reason why he was kicked out and possibly ask pardon or punishment for any wrongdoing. Promised not to do it again!

Stressed: Obviously you're feeling stressed in some way, but you're considering avoidant or inauthentic ways ways of handling it.  If feeling stressed, talk with a counselor at school or other therapist so you can develop healthier ways to manage yourself.  Giving yourself a fever is not the answer.

can you get diagnose with a disorder such as depression without parent permission ? if so what age and where? im doing this for school but would also like an answer for my own benefit. and would like to know because certain disorders run strongly in both

It : It is optimum to assess a patient in the context of their family. To interview both parents and the child/teen. It is also beneficial for the provider to observe how the family member's interact.  However, children/ teen can also seek out assistance themselves.  Many schools have counselors or psychologists that you can schedule an appointment with.  Some of these providers have the diagnostic skills to diagnose depression.  It would be extremely unlikely that as a child/ teen that you would be prescribed medication for a mental health problem without parental/ guardian consent. I hope this was helpful. i have been struggling with bulimia, but tomorrow my friend is taking me to the school nurse to get help. should i tell my parents?

Support is crucial: If you're talking about yourself or someone else in her teens and living with her family, then absolutely, tell the mother.  Bulimia is a serious disorder that is treatable but not easily so.  Keeping it a "secret" from those close to you will make effective treatment far harder.  You'll need all the support you can get from family and professionals.  The school nurse is a start, but only that.

i have been diagnosed with both ibs-d and chronic gastritis and i am sitting at a 17bmi at 5'5 106lbs. i had complications during pregnancy due to inability to gain weight and had my daughter at 125. she was 5lbs13oz. i can't get help. no one listens?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!
