I have gerd and severe ibs (with diarrhea and nausea). i've taken iberogast (stw-5) before and it worked amazingly. but i'm concerned about licorice root in it. i have hypertension. is it safe for me to being using this?

It is unlikely to: contain a sufficient amount of licorice to have any affect on your blood pressure but it would be easy to monitor this. Buy a blood pressure cuff and record your blood pressures. If you find they are being elevated by the Iberogast then discuss treatment with your health care provider.
