Not unusual: The time between illnesses is not unusual as these issues often come up sequentially in season. I would wonder if she has strep now, a bacterial illness that would need a test to confirm &amp; treatment if it is.

I'd wait 2 wks: If your local  flu season is active now I'd get it soon. A short course of steroids may not suppress the response much. If it is early in your season I would wait 2-3 wks to get the most from the shot. It takes about 2-3 weeks after the shot to have robust protection.

HEADACHE: Depends on how sick he is. High fever causes headache. Try giving him analgesic if  it  will help him. It is always wise to see md if in doubt. You get the answer at once.

Give ?: In spite of advertising claim there are no real "immune boosters". A kid who gets proper balanced nutrition, proper rest &amp; exercise will have their best immune function. At that age they are expected to get 3-5 respiratory &amp; 1-2 diarrhea illnesses/yr. After age 5 they are sick less after building their immune system with earlier illnesses. Give supplements if you wish, they end up in pee or poop.
