Flu test: You may suspect it clinically if your son has fever, sore throat, chills, body aches, headache and/or vomiting. To know you can have your doc do an influenza a+b test in the office. Note: even if test is negative, he may still have it if your doctor thinks his clinical scenario is consistent with it.
