how can i distingish between gonorrhea and a yeast infection?

Yeast vs  GC.: Yeast can present with clumpy, white vaginal discharge to a watery, white discharge. Sometimes a discharge is not apparent. There is no odor. It can cause swelling and redness of vulva along with itching and burning pain. It may lead to pain with urination or intercourse.Gonorrhea can cause no vaginal symptoms, intermittent vaginal bleeding, thick green pus-like discharge or  ^ vaginal secretions.

i had a kidney infection and a yeast infection and went in for a pap. my test came back positive for gonorrhea! is it possible that the test is wrong?

Anything possible: But this is a very explicit result. It is not from the pap test which is used to look for cellular changes in the cervix. Do not know what test was used, but sounds like you may have gonorrhea. If so, you need to be tested carefully for other stds including HIV and syphilis, and treated accordingly.  Discuss with your sexual partner(s).  Good luck.  Be careful.

It can happen: A vaginal yeast infection is caused by candida, which is a fungus. The antibiotics you were taking to treat gonorrhea and chlamydia would not treat this fungus, so it is possible you now have a yeast infection. Typical symptoms are a cottage-cheese like discharge and vaginal itching. If you think you might have a yeast infection, try an over the counter medication.

Antibiotic use: Recent antibiotic use can cause fungal infection such as yeast infection. Once you are off antibiotics for a while you should not be getting frequent yeast infection unless you have underlying diabetes or other medical conditions.

The : The Plan B likely interfered with your body's normal hormonal balance. It may take up to three months after taking it to get a period. However a blood pregnancy test is not a bad idea at this point. Otherwise, if your period does not come in the next month see your doctor. He/she can prescribe a pill that can induce a period, and then a birth control pill can be started to stabilize your period and prevent pregnancy.

what kind of tests to do for detecting vulva problems such as cyst in the labium, etc? only my left vulvas skin feels irritated despite yeast infection is gone. skin looks perfectly fine though. no constant pain. only felt when sitting/walking?

: There are no laboratory tests for vulvar cysts. Such diagnosis is usually based on physical examination. If your symptoms are improving, you may watch and wait. It the symptoms do not get better in 2-3 weeks, it would be prudent to see your doctor.
