Vulvar itching: Have the area examined. There are other infections that can cause itching. If it is yeast then a medication by mouth may be more effective. It also may be something you are coming into contact with that you are sensitive to, such as latex. All the best.

Yeast treatment: For treating yeast infection, they are one day cream treatment usually work if it is a mild or first time infection. But preferably to use 3 days or 7 days coarse will be more beneficial to root out the infection. Oral one day treatment by my pts, do work better. Check with your gyn and comply with recommendations.

Probably not yeast: Yeast infections are uncommon in the male genital tract. This symptoms makes me concerned about an STD, if you are at risk (new or unsafe partner, etc); or about a non-STD urinary tract infection. If you are under a doctor's care, check back with him or her. If not, i.e. treating yourself with Canestin, stop immediately and see a doctor. Your nearest NHS GUM clinic would be an excellent choice.

Medication for Sale: Doctors are very hesitant to recommend specific products. Any of these medications are most likely cousins to each other or even the same medication under different brands. Of course you can use these products while on the pill.

Probably: Burning during urination, vaginal soreness, discharge and foul smell all indicate vaginitis, urethritis, possible cervicitis. You should go to a local STD treatment clinic. They will test and treat. It's usually free of cost. Causes of these symptoms include yeast infection, chlamydia, gonorrhea, urinary tract infection wth ureaplasma, mycoplasma or conventional bacteria.

i have yeast infection. i have taken diflucan (fluconazole). have a cream called clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate...will this work?? and how fast??

The cream you're: using will ease your symptoms fairly quickly (~24 hours) but getting rid of the infection will take longer (up to 7 days).  If you're still having discharge or itching 1 week after taking the Diflucan, (fluconazole) you may need a second treatment or a different treatment.    Recurrence, resistance and re-infection are very common with yeast vaginitis.  -(

May be not normal.: You should be able to see some benefit of the medication if the diagnosis is correct by now. May be it is not a yeast infection. Is there any culture taken for examination from the discharge to make the diagnosis before you start using the medication? Please consult to your doctor for an evaluation.

Gynazole: Generally speaking it may take 48 hours before relief may occur,  depending how severe the infection is. The medication can remain active vaginally for approximately 4 days if using gynazole-1.
