Tooth whitening: Your porcelain crown won't change color.  If your crown is whiter than your teeth, just ask your dentist about whitening options for your natural teeth.  They will get lighter and the crown will stay the same.    Good luck!

Tooth whitening: I see no problem with using a professionally administered or dispensed whitening system. We don&#x27;t really use lasers but very bright lights and it has be shown to be no more effective than non-laser treatments. It&#x27;s more the concentration and length of time in contact with the teeth.

Bleaching: You can try in-office or in-home bleaching.  Normally, crown wont change color by bleaching but your teeth can become white and decreace the contrast between you dark teeth and white crown.  However, it is very difficult, if not impossible to match perfectly.

Relatively easy: Brushing and flossing well, keeping regular dental hygiene appointments, and avoiding foods that stain teeth will all help, but lets face it, over time they will stain again regardless. Take home touch up kits are available to maintain the white color.

laser whitening will work but will not whiten the crowns.  If your crowns are in an esthetic area you may need to replace.  This should occur after you achieve the shade you desire.

No: Your crown will not change with whitening strips nor be damaged. Make sure you are cavity free and have no gum disease, whitening materials could effect these conditions.

Not an option: A one day, all natural at home whitening system doesn't exist. As an FYI - teeth whitening occurs when concentrated hydrogen peroxide releases excess oxygen molecules and they combine with the surface tooth structure to make it lighter. Oxygen is all natural. Unfortunately the process takes time. Your dentist can accomplish the process in one appointment, so get the professional help you need!

Use a tray: Tooth whitening is a gradual process and doesn't occur over night. You would need to use custom fitted trays and the whitening gels in the trays to whiten your teeth. Just from a personal observation, i notice that professional swimmers all have nice white teeth from being immersed in the chlorinated pool water. No scientific proof to back this up, but it's my observation.
