You  can't: While you can never eliminate a scar, you can reduce its appearance.  Fortunately eyelid skin usually heals very well and the scars are difficult to see. It depends on how old the scar is.  One of the best treatments for new scars is scar massage.  3 weeks after surgery, start to push on the scar pretty hard and make small circles with your finger.  Do this 3 times a day for 10 minutes each time.

Scar removal: Have a laser treatment. A pulsed dye laser uses light to reduce the size of scars to make them flatter and to repair pigmentation. The treatment is non-invasive and you'll be entirely healed within a week. Several treatments are usually needed to gain the best results.

Usually no scar: Usually no scar after chalazion surgery but the final result can sometimes take a few months to heal.  Sometimes the healing process can take even longer depending on the severity of the lesion and if it was drained from the anterior( skin side) or posterior ( conjunctival side).

Residual chalazion: It's either a residual chalazion or scar tissue.  Best suggestion is to ask your surgeon about it.  If it is a residual chai on it may get bigger over time.

Di you ask your MD?: Sometimes applying warm compresses and local antibiotic ointment resolves the problem. But you should ask your Ophthalmologist who has examined you about non surgical option.

No: This is not a cancerous or precancerous lesion.  This is a blockage of a gland in the eyelid.  Some people are prone to them.  A warm compress is generally helpful.

Numb: The eyelid is "numbed" or anesthetized with an injection of Lidocaine or similar medication before draining a chalazion.
