Maybe: Insect sensitivity with persistent exposure can cause havoc on skin.  First, try to confirm if you truly have bug bites, because you may just be experiencing hives.  Identifying triggers is notoriously difficult, but when they persist for &gt;6wks, one should see a physician to rule out dangerous syndromes. If insects are involved, given the time of year, have an exterminator check for bed bugs/fleas

Depends: on what your bumps look like. Hives tend to be slighltly asymmetric and in various shapes and sizes, often resolve slowly on their own and are itchy.  Bed bug bites are smaller itchy red spots that are all the same size and shape, and are often in a row of 3, the so-called "breakfast, lunch, dinner sign.They only bite at night and then hide out of sight, so no one really is aware of any contact.

Yes; but: Hives can come up from a variety of exposures, including foods,bug bites, things she touches,etc.Unless you know for a fact she is never anywhere but inside your house, a bug bite or other exposure could occur outside in the yard, on trips, etc.

Hives ?: Two months of a rash, which looks like hives to you needs to be evaluated. Hives usually do itch as they are a histamine response and are not typically always in the same place.  This sounds more like flat warts.  In any case exam and evaluation by your primary physician or a Dermatologist is needed.

Looks, Located, #s: Mosquito bites are generally just a few and follow being recently outside in the evening or night. Bed bug bites are more commonly located on the legs & feet and may cover large areas. Both mosquito & bed bug bites will have individual punctures. Hives tend to cover larger areas and have more aof a rash appearance.  When in doubt, see your md to be certain.

Antihistamines: are a good "start" but the MAJOR effort here is the DISPOSAL of the affected sleeping materials  or ERADICATION of the bugs ( very frustrating often not effective methods) I would "vote" for DISPOSAL!
BTW if infected the bites need local ans well as possibly systemic (antibiotic) treatment!

Ignore or treat: Hives due to insect bites should run their course in a few days. If verry itchy, local cold application can reduce the itch. If you don't plan to drive or operate machinery, otc benedryl capsules may help slow or reverse the process. If you get belly pain, cramps or experience any breathing difficulty seek medical attention.

i had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago now i have a rash resembling insect bites, hives and one spot with small raised bumps, no other symptoms. hiv rash?
