: Fragile virus. We find great differences in the ability of viruses to survive outside their preferred habitat. For HIV that is the blood flowing inside the body. Expose it to the outside and it dies, much as you would on the surface of the sun.

Basically zero: I doubt anyone would say this justifies HIV prophylaxis. There's data on punctures and jabs, but nobody's connected HIV transmission to a scratch. Is the instrument itself coated fresh blood? The virus is wimpy and won't survive otherwise. If you are obsessed with the idea that you may have contracted hiv, you deserve to get a nucleic acid assay to be sure.

HIV transmission.:  This could theoretically occur if serum (blood from the other person) was on the mascara wand and it touched the conjunctiva  of eyes (not eye lashes alone). I found 1 case report.  REF:  https://journals.lww.com/aidsonline/fulltext/2000/01280/hiv_1_infection_transmitted_by_serum_droplets_into.19.aspx. What you described however, should NOT transmit HIV.

Possible: A cut can provide a portal of entry for the virus so it is possible although unlikely.

: It would be theoretically possible, but hiv organisms in 2 day old dried blood would be negligible. However, in fresh blood there's possible transmission through a partially healed cut on your skin.  Get instructions and advice from your public health department.

: Not possible, even if your bf has HIV. This is your yet another question about zero risk HIV events. You seem obsessed with it. Believe this:  you will NEVER get HIV unless and until you have unprotected sex (real sex, penis in vagina or rectum) with an infected partner. Ignore and do not ask about other possibilities. And ask bf if he has HIV. No sex w/ him if at risk and doesn't know or refuses.

: It would really depend on how much blood got into the open skin. This would depend on how big the cuts are, how deep they are and how much blood there was. Of course, if there is no HIV virus in the fresh blood, then there would be no risk of HIV transmission. If you are concerned, then get an HIV test to be certain you are negative. Good luck!

No: If you did not contact blood or opim (other potentially infectious material), then contact with a chronic disease carrier (hiv, hepatitis, etc.) should not be a problem. Ideally you washed your hands with soap & water when noticed for basic hygiene reasons, but no increased transmission risk.

The massage oil: Would have to have been put on by someone with an open wound that was actively washing in and out of that wound and your wound would have to be open as well, not just a scabbed scratch. Plus, HIV is not a hardy virus and any long term placement outside of body in the oil would not be suitable for the virus to live. While i can't guarantee it, it is not likely HIV would be transmitted this way.
