: It is rare to have HIV symptoms while taking PEP drugs; probably  you were not infected and something else is causing your symptoms. At this time, 3 weeks after last drug dose, a negative HIV test of any kind (antibody, 4th gen, RNA) would prove your symptoms are not due to HIV. Still, a final test will be needed 6 weeks after completing PEP to be sure you don't have asymptomatic HIV. Good luck.

: Yes, it certainly does. As long as you are taking PEP drugs, there is little or no point in testing for HIV. The time period to a positive test ("window period") starts when PEP is finished -- not the time of exposure. Discuss with the doctor or clinic where your PEP was prescribed; they will have the best advice for you.
