Not necessarily: During acute HIV acquisition fever chills muscle aches diarrhea and night sweats can't be present.  There are no exact sequence of events that will happen.  Rash me or may not come before fever.  Night sweats may or may not come before this as well.  Keep in mind that only approximately 30% of people that acquired HIV virus will have an initial symptom.

India: I don't know the standards at the clinic where this was performed. However, standards of care would require that sterilized equipment be used &amp; that medical staff scrub up.  If that is observed, then you should not  have contracted HIV via these procedures.

Unusual: The rash associated with HIV is often flat and lacy, although a variety of rashes have been described. Lots of other infections cause rash as well (syphilis is one not to miss). And, usually people with acute HIV also have other symptoms like fatigue, sore throat, nausea, etc the cdc recommends that all adults be tested for hiv, so if it crosses your mind to think hiv, then go ahead and get tested.

HIV: acute HIV infection may present symptoms in only 20-50% of patients. However if there are symptoms, they are very nonspecific and may be similar to other viral illnesses such as mono. Fever is very common 96% and rash is seen in about 70%. Most commonly rash involves whole body and may or may not itch, also may see mouth, genital and rectal ulcers as well

HIV: Symptomatic expression of acute HIV syndrome can take many forms, the more common being a mononucleosis-like illness, but many things can occur.  What you describe does not seem a likely phenomenon with hiv, but nothing is impossible.  Test yourself thoroughly.  The latest testing techniques are amazingly accurate.

Rash and HIV: Certainly HIV disease can give you a fever and enlarged lymph nodes AND A FEVER.  But so do many other diseases, many of them benign viral diseases.  Instead of worrying and guessing, better to go see the doctor and get tested.  Hope that helps.

Probably not: The rash with HIV tends to be red and flat or a bit raised. People have other flu like symptoms as well. Pimples are probably just pimples. If lots more emerge on only one side of the body in a strip this could be shingles. If the same cluster always comes back in the same place, this could be an unusual location for herpes simplex.

: HIV can be communicated via blood from another individual being in contact with a mucus membrane, such as the lining of the mouth.   Obtain an HIV test to be certain.
