Broken Nose: If the nose is hit/struck, a broken nose usually causes black eyes.
A broken nose is essentially not painful.
A very painful nose might be due to a localized staph infection and needs treatment.

Broken nose: You will need an xray to confirm fracture of bone. Cartilage is tissue that is very difficult the tear because it is more rubbery. Pain is the most common symptom and degree of trauma can give a clue. If you deviated the septum you may have trouble breathing.

Usually for1-3 weeks: Usually the pain lasts for one to three weeks from an injury to the nose with broken bone. But, sometimes the pain may persist for even longer periods.

Hard to damage: Cartilage, since it's a bit more forgiving than bone. The base of the bone is what's connected to the skull, and you are probably alright, just experiencing some inflammation, and swelling from the bruise. If it continues, have it checked by your pcp, so you can manage the pain. Meanwhile, if it's acute, ice packs help decompress inflammation and pain.

Not really. : The skin may be tightened but your not going to really move the cartilage. Plus the muscles may actually cause wrinkles if they get stronger. Usually surgery is what's needed to change the a shape of your nose.

Depends on location: The alar nasi injuries do heal. Laceration can be repaired. Cartilages that support joints like knee wear out causring bone rubbing on bone leading to swelling and pain.

Hole: IF you have a hole on top of your nose fro m truama you need to be seen.

Clogged Nose: No it is not a sign of cancer.  It is more likely consistent with allergies, polyps or a deviated septum.  I see you are already on Flonase which is a good start.  I suggest you visit your doctor also.  You may end up seeing an ENT.

It is painful: Fracturing the bone is more painful than fracturing the cartilage. Whether it's due to trauma or nasal surgery, you would be given pain medication that you would take for 4-5 days, on average, to make you more comfortable. You would also have a lot of swelling, so ice and elevation of the head will help as well. A soft diet will be necessary for one week.
