Varies: All those things may or may not be related.  Starting with a good check up my your medical doctor may be a good start.  Possibly getting a rheumatology evaluation to look for a systemic problem might be a consideration as well.

NSAID's: Consider use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications and acupuncture.

Sharp hip pain: Did it occur suddenly after an actvity? Have you been very active in sports? If so could be disc herniation or could be primary hip injury,  like capsule tear, avascular necrosis seek medical attention this week. Avoid strenuous activity, running,etc.

Sciatica?: You may be suffering from sciatica, that is, leg pain from a lumbar spine problem. Other diagnostic possibilities include diabetic neuropathy(amyotrophy), or vascular problems. If these symptoms persist or are associated with fever, weight loss, or other symptoms, you should consult with your physician.

given levaquin (levofloxacin) and antibiotic shot in rump for pneum. now having severe pain in hip joint on injection leg also shoulder pain. is this side affect?

Not normally from: Levaquin (levofloxacin). Some people will have myalgias from intermuscular injections, but not joint pain as often. There is evidence linking Levaquin (levofloxacin) and development of neuropathy, but usually a single dose would not cause it and most likely not in the shoulder. You may have inflammation from the pneumo irritating past arthritis. Pay attention to any other unusual symptoms and check back with your doc.

See details: It is impossible to say without being able to examine the areas involved. Get a 2nd opinion. A rheumatologist may be of greater help, especially for pain in the 'foot fingers' which are more commonly known as the toes.

rt. hip pain when hip slips out of joint.  what do i do?

Unlikely: It is unlikely that the hip is slipping out of joint. A snapping hip could be causing your symptoms where muscle or tendon or other soft tissue is "slipping" over the edge of the bone.  This is best managed with stretching, pt, and sometimes a cortisone injection. At 51 you could also be experiencing symptoms of arthritis. See your doctor for an xray & evaluation.

Hip pain: What do you associate with the pain?  Is there a history of arthritis?  Recommend evaluation to include imaging to determine the causes.

Unlikely: It will cause back and buttock pain but is unlikely to cause true hip pain. By hip, onne means pain on top of the thigh in the area of the front of the hip.
