Modify activities: For immediate pain relief besides icing, an over the counter anti-inflammatory medication (ibuprofen 600mg every 8 hours) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) (500mg every 6 hours) can be used.  Another key to treating labrum tears without surgery is to modify certain activities.  In general, trying to avoid deep hip flexion with significant hip rotation can help. Labrum tears usually become more painful when hip is flexed

See details: Groin pain is not related to a hip bursitis. A bursitis should be apparent on an MRI. You likely have another reason for your hip pain. See a rheumatologist.

Favoring hip: Since the MRI showed labral tear, suspect right hip pain?  Therefore perhaps you put more strain on left side.  Best to talk to your primary care doctor for help with pain

Small tear: The labrum is rim of cartilage around the acetabulum which helps stabilize the femoral head in the hip joint socket. Labral tears can develop from chronic wear and tear or more acute injury; in younger patients they are sometimes related to abnormal morphology of the acetabulum or femoral neck, leading to femoroacetabular impingment (fai).

i recently got an mra of my pelvis and they found a tear in my quadratus femoris. i can t seem to find much literature on the treatment options for it. please help.

Quad tear: At a pelvic location most tears will heal with rest. Occasionally surgical repair is needed, and usually due to a displaced tendon attachment tear in an athlete.

MRA is 4 vascular. : It is usually done 4 head/brain study. I would not think it would be done 4 a labral tear but i would go by the recommendations of ur treating orthopedic surgeon.
