Good question!: Pregnancy is a high-risk condition for both mother and fetus; in fact the transition from fetal to neonatal life is the most dangerous period for any individual and the pregnancy and puerperium present specific challenges to maternal health and life. Only post-hoc can one characterize any given pregnancy as unremarkable; prospectively all pregnancies are at high risk for complications!

No: As long as your overall health is good, you would not atomaticaklly be classified as a high risk pregnacy.  Age wise there is a slightly higher risk of chromosomal problems, but testing is available to determine you overall risk.  Though any pregancy can start as  low risk  andbecome high risk as the pregnancy progresses.

Probably not: There are lots of different things that can make a pregnancy high risk, and most of them are not related to cysts.

Yes: Walking is an excellent exercise during pregnancy. Especially if by high risk you mean obesity, diabetes or high blood pressure. It will help keep your weight down, manage your cravings and end up with a smaller baby to deliver. For some high risk diagnosis, especially those requiring bedrest , walking is not possible. Discuss this with your doctor. Good luck!

Quads: Having a quadruplet pregnancy in your past doesn't put you into a high risk status with your next pregnancy. The exception would be if you have some underlying medical problem also.

Kindness: I'm not sure how old the children are and how interested they are in the pregnancy issues. If they ask specifically about it, i would encourage them to be very loving, supportive and limit the extent of their questions-as someone who is experiencing a difficult pregnancy may not need the additional pressure.

YES,BUT: But a much better idea would be to ask these questions of her ob/gyn.  He would have all the history of her specific problem.  Part of giving a detailed answer would also be the physical exam and any testing.  This obviously can not be done online.  In person would be the best.

U probably mean: A perinatologist  that is a doc who had OB residency then extra training to be subspecilaized in doing high risk pregnancies, most perinatologists will not do the delivery though, they usually work with your OB and your OB will do the delivery there are a few who will do the delivery.
