hi my 19mth old had a high fever on saturday. he was prescrib amoxil but now his temp is pretty low 94f. is this norm ?

Its a good sign: If your child's fever was from a virus then his immune system fought it off, if from a bacterial infection then the Amoxil may have helped. What's important is that the fever is gone. The temperature lower than 98.6F (37C) is a reflection of the thermometer and method used to take temperature. You can verify true core temperature using a rectal thermometer. Other methods will give lower results.

So: Your immune system is likely fighting some viral or bacterial infection in your body. Your body usually will let you know where it is. The exception would be hidden cancer or autoimmune condition, need to be evaluated and treated for fever now. Good luck.

Likely viral: This event so long ago was likely one of many viral illnesses you have had over your lifetime. It might have be possible to label it at the time with blood tests taken during and a month after recovery, but not now. Since you recovered &amp; whoever cared for you at the time didn't pursue it it will remain an unknown. I would not lose any sleep over it.
