Cervix and ovulation: That's normal. The cervix wants to admit sperm at ovulation to allow fertilization of your egg. This doesn't indicate pregnancy.

You tell us : If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy.  Cervical position is not something you need to spend time and energy on. It's not relevant.

Misconception: The cervix becomes softer with pregnancy and the mucus plug is present and observed (sometimes) at the end of the pregnancy.  The changes are not that obvious very quickly so this is not a useful sign of early pregnancy.

Probably not: Plan b is 89% effective at preventing pregnancy and you are also on birth-control pills.  So its unlikely that you are pregnant.  Feeling your cervix isn't a reliable way to know if you are pregnant.  Best wishes!

Cervix ; Anatomy: Nothing.  Which begs the question as to what represents "open' to you. A cervix is very much not open in general.

No need to check: Cervical position and consistency is only relevant when you are pregnant especially in the late 3rd trimester. Hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle cause very subtle changes in the cervix that are not important to monitor. No judgments or clinical decision making can be accurately made based on cervical position or consistency in a non-pregnant patient.

Do hpt if you miss: your period. Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.

after ovulation about a week and a half ago ive noticed my cervix has remained high and soft. im also having a clearish white discharge. there is really a bad smell to it. no itching or irritation. ive felt nauseous, hard stomach and sore breasts?

SEE GYN: Vag discharge and odor are symptoms of bacterial vaginitis, common and usually sexually transmitted.  A gynecologist will either see "clear cells" or trichomonads.  Both partners require treatment in  either case.

Pregnancy Test: Position of cervix in vagina does not tell us anything in regards to whether a woman is pregnant.  Best to do home pregnancy test on first morning urine no sooner than 2 weeks after FIRST unprotected sex.  If neg, repeat in 7-10 days.  If both neg, unlikely you are pregnant.
