Biliary dyskinesia: The normal ejection fraction of the gallbladder is 33-42%.  Over 73% is considered a hyperactive gallbaldder. This is an extremely rare condition.  There is no supported treatment really for hyperkinesia.  I would ask you to determine your symptoms presently.

can i get gangrene if my gallbladder fails completely? my hida scan shows its only working 15%!

Yes still possible: Gangrene starts with an abscess which can still occur.

Maybe: Do you have stones in the gallbladder or bile ducts as well? They gave you an injection during the HIDA scan, did that set off the pain? If so that's a pretty good indication that the gallbladder is the cause of any pain, and it should be removed. If your pain did not increase further testing should be done, EGD, CT scan, bloodworm, possibly a laparoscopy.

Manage symptoms: With an abnormal hida and presence of symptoms, the recommendation would be to remove the gallbladder. Otherwise, managing the symptoms with medications. However, at some point you would likely need to get it out anyway.

HIDA: A HIDA scan will show whether the GB is functioning or not and whether the bile ducts are open

i have 3-7mm gallstones. hida scan shows gallbladder function normal at 53%. will i need gallbladder removed?

Depends: Only if you have having symptoms from your gallbladder, such as abdominal pain or colic. You should definitely discuss it with your doctor.

hida scan shows 17% function  @ 20 min. no pain during exam 4.3 m of technetium 99m of choletec. 1.5mcg of cck. bilirubin is 1.5 enzymes good.

Not sure of results: Most laboratories determine ejection fraction, percentage of emptying at 30 or 60 minutes after injection of cck. I am not sure meaning of ejection fraction at 20 minutes.

i have no gallbladder now for 15 yrs.  pain on andoffunder rt rib through to back around side. will nuclear hida scan show pancreas stone or bkockage?

Not likely: Unless you have abnormal blood tests showing abnormal liver functions with biliary obstruction. Pancreas stones do not occiur like gallstones, especially if you have not had documented recurrent pancreatitis. Need to see a GI specialist. Mri better for bile duct or pancreatic duct if it is clinically indicated (but likely to be normal without other documented abnormalities on blood work).

will a hida scan show if gallbladder is acute vs chronic. my ejection fraction 7% . pain even when not eating .some nausea. vomited x1?

It could: Hida tells you a bit about how the gallbladder is functioning.  With acute process more likely to have fever and pain unrelated to eating.

will a nuclear hida scan show pancreatic stones or bile duct stones?

Gallbladder dyskines: It is a test for dysfunctional gallbladder/ talk to your pcp regarding the appropriate test.
