Wrong Diagnosis: Cellulitis/blisters is basically a visible inflammation (itis) of the skin and soft tissues (red, hot, swollen and tender). It can be caused by many things but recurrent stress herpes is pretty unusual.If you are have repeated episodes of this, get to a wound care or vascular specialist, the diagnoses you have is wrong.  There are many other simple treatable causes that this sounds like than herpe.

It's the stress: Herpes unfortunately 'hides' in the nerve roots and waits for the 'right time' to come out. There's usually some type of stress that triggers it, since the immune system lets down its guard, and then the herpes virus has a  party at your expense. Best to AVOID stress in all forms - arguing, road rage, financial worries, smoking, alcohol, lack of sleep, injuries, etc. Easy to list, hard to practice

: It does seem to have a role though that is difficult to quantify and it is not clear if it is a direct effect. If you are stressed you may not be eating and sleeping well which could suppress your immune system and that would make you more susceptible to outbreaks.

Twice a day for ten: 1000 mg twice a day for 10 days.  They are taken at the first sign of an outbreak. No one knows how frequent outbreaks will be. Have to play it by ear.

Bacterial vaginosis?: The most common cause of strong vaginal odor, especially fishy odor, is bacterial vaginosis -- an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. STDs also can cause odor, either directly or by triggering BV. Both STDs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, and BV itself can last months; no sex since January doesn't mean no STD. See a doctor ASAP for diagnosis and treatment. Good luck!

when i'm stressed i break out in blisters in various areas. my pa says that its stress induced in the herpes family.  can u give your opinion?

Yes it is possible: Physical or mental stress and lack of sleep seems to allow the herpes to break out. Not all types f herpes are sexually transmitted, on causes the common cold sore. If it is bothersome, medication taken in the 1st 48 hours after they appear can shorten the time yu have these lesions.
