Just found out i hve herpes. have valtrex (valacyclovir). how often to take it. can stress cause breakouts! help!!!!!!!!!!!

Twice a day for ten: 1000 mg twice a day for 10 days. They are taken at the first sign of an outbreak. No one knows how frequent outbreaks will be. Have to play it by ear.
