i had a unbilicord hernia repair with a mesh 4 years ago and having pain,bowel movement problems,hurts after eating do i have another hernia?

See a doctor: Cannot tell where your pain is here. You need to see a doctor for a physical exam to be able to tell if you could have a recurrent umbilical hernia.

Postop complications: I cannot answer for sure as it depends on what they actually did during surgery. Potentially the two can be related as either due to postop complication (intestinal injury) or sometimes hernias could be due to Meckel's diverticulum (a pouch coming off the small intestine) that sometimes leads to intussusception  and bleeding. Colonoscopy might help determine if there is a large bowel cause.

Not all women: Those are potential negative consequences as a result of a c/s, but most women do not experience any of these issues. Numbness at the site of the scar is probably more common than the other things listed, which are rare. If you are concerned about anything, call and see your OBGYN.

i had gastroschisis at birth, many intestinal blockage removals, and my hiatal hernia mesh causes severe pain 10 yrs later. vegan, uninsured. advice?

Gastroschisis: Complicated history. Are you sure you have mesh from a hiatal hernia repair? That's relatively rare. Not an umbilical hernia? Hard to say what the pain is from. Scar tissue vs obstruction vs mesh. If you are in KY i would see dr. Josh steiner.

expain small cysts on kidney i.ve had ct scan for adominal pain and intestinal problems. i have small hernias and fatty liver . please advise

See long answer: Small cysts of the kidney are usually simple cysts which are a benign occurrence without clinical symptoms. They increase with age, and 50% of people age 50 have them. Check with your dr. To see if they were simple in appearance.

is it advisable to attempt to have another baby after umbilical mesh hernia repair.  also have prolapsed bowel which needs to be surgically repaired.

To gain more realistic assessment of your post-mesh umbilical hernia repair and existing prolapsed bowel, your surgeon should possess more about your individual conditions than anyone online so s/he is the best one to balance medical necessity &amp; professional possibilities. Ultimately, you are the one to decide depending upon how desperate.

Yes: An inguinal hernia is a hole in the muscle layers of the abdominal wall which allows a sac of the abdominal lining to come through it.  That sac is open at the base and will, sometimes, allow bowel or fatty tissue or bladder to enter the sac and become irritated, stuck or in worst case injured and gangrenous. Symptoms can vary based on what is in the sac and how badly trapped and irritated it is.

May be: Difficult to say: what was the reason for obstruction and what type of hernias do you have?  Hernia can cause obstruction. Incisional hernia can happen after surgery.

Fat containing herni: The hernia is most likely not the cause of your bowel problems.  Umbilical hernias very rarely contain any bowel, mostly fat.  They are not emergencies because no bowel is at risk, but can be fixed through surgery.

would having a hiatal hernia & a separated abdominal muscle give problems pushing out a bowel movement?

Hernia: No, this should not affect you having a BM. But I would try to keep my BM's soft and try not to strain as this may increase the size of your hernia
