Hep C is not herpes: Hepatitis c and herpes simplex (cold sore) are different viruses and are not related. Hepatitis is most commonly w/o any symptoms although it can be seen with abdominal pain, yellowing of skin and eyes, discoloration of stool and urine. It takes more than one day for either hepatitis c or herpes to develop. Most likely you have been exposed to herpes previously and it just came out at this point.

Triggered anxiety: I am so sorry to hear about your misfortune. There are several types of anxiety. I can't diagnose yours with the information available, but i can say this about it. It is not uncommon for any of the anxiety disorders to be either situational or triggered in nature. Since it came via an emotional response to information which comes through your thoughts, it would stand to reason that it can be shut off using thought or cognitive therapy.Please find a therapist near you who practices cbt. If you have multiple ulcers that do not resolve you probably have an immune system issue. This may be as simple as chronic stress or something more serious. You should probably see your doctor.

Time: Cold sores run their course in 7-10 days. You can shorten that with a few options. Lemon balm oil applied topically or tea tree oil 2-3 times a day can help (stings). Prescription Valtrex (valacyclovir) can help. Homeopathic rhus tox 3x a day for 5 days can speed crusting over and shorten the time to healing. Chinese medicine has herbs that can boost immune system and decrease frequency of outbreaks as well.
