Triggered anxiety: I am so sorry to hear about your misfortune. There are several types of anxiety. I can't diagnose yours with the information available, but i can say this about it. It is not uncommon for any of the anxiety disorders to be either situational or triggered in nature. Since it came via an emotional response to information which comes through your thoughts, it would stand to reason that it can be shut off using thought or cognitive therapy.Please find a therapist near you who practices cbt.
